How much is your house worth?: Luckily we are living with family now, meaning the job loss has not hit us as hard as it could have. Our last home was worth about $50K, but it was not in a good neighborhood (which is why we sold it while we could and moved back to where I grew up).
We have two kids (2 and under), but are doing okay now thanks to some frugal saving while we were both working and our minimal expenses. However, I always wonder where we will get the money to buy a house as I do not want to work full-time. You can get a decent house around here for around $100k.

How much is your house worth?: $0, I rent a room from a friend in his house to save money, pay off debt and try and be able to purchase my own home with in two years. But here in CA the average price for a home within 1 hours of Sacramento is more than 325,000. I will need to buy someplace else, for when I plan on retiring.

I own a house with no mortgage that that is worth about 125K
I also own some raw land and a 1/2 interest in a summer home on a lake.

Property taxes for everything is $2700

I'm 39, Dh is 43.
Gross income is 56,000.
We live in British Columbia.
We bought our house in 2000 for 218,000. It's just been valued at 379,000. We find ourselves very fortunate to be in the position of having no debt other than a monthly mortgage of $600.00.

How much is my house worth: I don't own a house - I rent - 700 sqft 2 br duplex - $535/mo.

I was without any kind of income for almost three months, but my savings got me through those months, plus three moves. My savings could sustain me through up to two more months of no income, but then I would have absolutely nothing left - so am hoping that doesn't happen.

I finally started to get ahead financially speaking when I bought my home in 2003 for 171K, put about 6 K into it. Now owe 142,500 on it. Yes it is a lot of work but the benefits of home ownership are significant.
