Books on Investments

Can anyone recommend me a very good book which teaches what to look for before investing in any company? e.g. P/E ratio etc etc.
I have saved couple of thousands and want to enter in the market the right way.

I suggest you go to good-will and look through their financial selection. I have oodles of books that give investing advice for less than 3 dollars.
