This is a stretch, but it can't hurt to ask. Do any of the programmers here have experience with OFX and DirectConnect? I'm considering writing a utility to DirectConnect to a website (or more accurately to an OFX server) and download an OFX covering a particular date range. (The reason I want to do this is because my Bank of America credit card will only allow me to download transactions after the month has "closed", where I know that Mvelopes and Quicken are able to connect to BofA and download transations from the current month (for some reason this isn't a problem with BofA bank accounts, only credit accounts). If I write my own utility I can use another budgeting package such as YNAB.)
Has anyone here done something similar who could give me some pointers on where to start? My experience is in embedded software rather than application software, but if someone points me down the right path I'm confident I can figure it out.
