  • Installed a Sliding Glass Door in our Cabin

Here was my project this past weekend.
The door was a returned special order.
Original price was $1200. We got it for $600.
Total time spent on the install was about 6 hours.
Next week I'll be trimming it out and it's done.
Next spring the deck gets built.

    Looks fantastic! Enjoy the isolation.

    * Despite the high cost of living, it remains very popular.
    * Why should I pay for my daughter's education when she already knows everything?
    * There are no shortcuts to anywhere worth going.

If he told us that, there would be a slew of SavingAdvice folks showing up on his doorstep.

Although I'd be happy to bring the bourbon

It's near Tionesta PA. If you are familiar with Pennsylvania geography, it's about two hours north east of Pittsburgh. In the Appalachian mountains.

A fine choice. We finished our bottle not too long ago. We haven't replaced it but that's because we have 20 other bourbons in the cabinet at the moment.

It looks like you expanded the size of the opening— What did you do about the header?

had to expand out to a rough opening of a little over 6 feet.
Sides, header and sill plate are 2x6 treated

Both sides are double studded as well

                            yes. both.
there is also a lot of hiking in the area.
And the Allegheny river is about a mile away.
So, swimming, kayaking, etc as well
