Atwood has pretty much always been attracted to producing video. The 34-year-old comedian began filming and producing while he was in high school. He did not go on to college but instead decided to begin a producing career. His independent career began with a series of DVDs he produced called “The Nerd Herd.” He sold the DVDs at Warped Tour in 2006.

When he was still fresh out of high school Atwood also worked on various other film projects. He also worked for some time at his family’s company “Atwood Rope.” In 2010, two years after filing for divorce with his wife after she cheated, Atwood decided to follow his heart and pursue a career in comedy. That is when he launched the Youtube channel “Sketch Empire.”
