Labor Day is Monday, September 5. While some retailers will be holding huge sales, others will close their doors to give their employees a day off in honor of Labor Day. If you are a regular shopper at Target you may be wondering whether or not the retailer will be open this Labor Day Monday.
Is Target Open on Labor Day?
Yes. Target will be open on Labor Day. Labor Day is considered to be a huge shopping holiday by many people. Most retailers will remain open and this is no different for Target. In fact, the retailer will also be offering some great deals to honor the holiday. Most of the deals will be of the back-to-school variety but the retailer may also be offering some deals on cookout materials, camping supplies, and outdoor furniture.
Target Labor Day Deals
Target will be open on Labor Day 2016. But will Target offer you the deals that you want this Labor Day?
Target’s Labor Day sale this year focuses on home items (both are either online or in-store) and school supplies. You can get up to a whopping 30 percent off home items and television. They are offering a 50 percent off school supplies, up to 30 percent off patio items, up to 20 percent off garden tools and power equipment and up to 30% off last-minute college items.
You can also take advantage of their Cat & Jack kids’ clothes promo – spend $25 and save $5 using the promo code KIDS. You can also get a free $5 gift card when you buy 4 beauty & personal care items. These promos might vary by location, so check your local flier first.
Since Labor Day is also the start of the football season, Target is offering large screen televisions for as low as $299.
As always, you can get 5% off if you use a Target Red debit card. Target managers cannot give additional discounts, so you’ll need to stick with the published deals.
What is Target’s Holiday Schedule?
Most Target stores are open during their normal business hours on holidays, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. On non-holiday days, Target is open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Saturday. On some holidays, Target stores may open earlier. Labor Day, however, is not a holiday in which Target will be opening early.
Target is open most holidays. The only holidays Target is not open include Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. In past years, Target has opened its doors early on Black Friday, opening at 6 a.m. and closing at midnight. Target pharmacies (now owned by CVS Pharmacy) are typically open a bit later (at 9 a.m.) and close earlier (at 9 p.m.) on regular days and holidays. Target photo labs keep regular store hours.
