Arbitrage

A technique employed to profit from the differences in price. A good example is purchasing a stock in New York for $15 a share and instantly selling it in Tokyo for $16.00 for a profit of $1.00 a share, less any expenses. Many individuals do this with credit cards. They take out a 0% credit card loan and place the money into a savings account that pays more.
