So I have close to 200+ DVDs that I never watch anymore and they are just taking up space in the basement. What is the best place to sell them online? And I dont want to use ebay, half or Amazon. I want to sell them in bulk. Thanks

sadly these are not worth much anymore unless they are the new releases. I have put some on craigslist at about $2 each and been offered $1 each. yard sales seem to still get a few dollars each

You can sell them in bulk on ebay. I don't think you can on half.com or amazon. Otherwise, there is craigslist.
Personally, I'd reconsider half.com. Even though you have to sell them individually, listing is very quick and easy, much easier than ebay. And half.com handles all the payments so all you do is sit back, ship items that sell and have half.com send you money twice a month.

I posted at the same time as cicy33. If they aren't really bringing much, then bulk on ebay just to get rid of them might be the way to go. Oddly, on ebay, a bulk lot will often sell for more than the individual items go for.

I have noticed that disneysteve! I guess people want to believe that they are getting a bargain so buying in bulk makes them feel better. But I will say ebay is slow these days

The other thing is the postage is less of an issue. It costs less per disk to mail 10 than it does to mail 1.

I haven't tried it, but it looks legit. I may have come across this site, when looking for sites to sell books to. It seems to work the same way. I would say this would be the easiest way to get rid of your DVD's and get cash at the same time.
I would agree with DisneySteve that bulk on ebay may net you a better profit than this site. It's just your personal preference. And if you haven't sold on ebay, this site may be the better route to go. Let us know how much you get! |

If you were to sell your DVDs in bulk do you try to create themes? Or do you suggest just selling them all in one large lot? I was thinking I could sell my new comedy movies in one lot and old comedies on another lot. Same for other genres and try to go for a more specific audience.

Searching around on ebay to see how others have done it is pretty helpful. Good luck! |

ooh, a lot by actor would be a good idea. I was just looking on ebay and noticed it would not be wise for a person to buy only 1 dvd at a time simply because the shipping costs are not proportional to the value you are saving. Why am I going to buy 1 dvd at $2 if it has $3.95 shipping? For that reason I think from a consumer stand point it would only make sense to buy lots.

Yes, anyone charging $3.95 is ripping folks off. I hate when sellers do that. Gives ebay a bad name.

I'd want used CD's. Music, of course! Listened to Los Lobos and Linda Ronstadt on used CD just this afternoon. I buy from Amazon, and Half.com....But the thread is about DVDs
