Default Homeschoolers need to check this out and vote.

Dear Homeschoolers and Concerned Families,

It just came to my attention that the Costco Connection September monthly magazine is running an article about homeschooling and teaching certification.

They are running a "Public Opinion" poll asking whether parents should be certified to homeschool their children.

You DO NOT need to be a Costco member to vote.

I would urge you all to take less than a minute to e-mail your vote of "NO" to show your support that we homeschooling moms and dads don't need a teacher's certification in order to be qualified to teach our own children.

The website is Costco Connection - September 2008
or if the link above doesn't work go to Document and go to page 16 of the online magazine.

Thank-you for your vote!!! (speaking of voting, now don't forget to make sure you're registered to vote in the November election!)

Many have a college degree and have been teachers that homeschool.
Either way who knows a child better than the genetic parents?
Can you remember when know one understood you and you were a
bit stuck in school.?

I vote no on the certification. Those certification programs generalize everyone and turns yet another creative avenue into a buerocratic process. I like the idea of kids not all recieving the same education or thesame type of teachers- keeps our country diversified with new thoughts, ideas and perspectives.
