Recomendations for informative website(s) or literature on investing, banking, and saving options?

Ideally it would be comprehensive, assume no specific knowledge of personal finance, and be free or well worth the money.

    Thanks in advance!

For comprehensive information, I'd suggest checking out a book or two from your local library. If you haven't used your library, see if they have a web site. You may be able to reserve books in advance on-line. Of course you can also buy them, but in the interest of saving money I suggest the library.

Ones you may want to start out with include:

"Simple and Smart Financial Strategies for Busy People" by Jane Bryant Quinn
"The Only Investment Guide You'll Ever Need" by Andrew Tobias
"The Net Worth Workout" by Susan Feitelberg
"Smart Couples Finish Rich" by David Bach

Once you've gone through one of the books and implemented some of the strategies, you may want to start reading Money magazine. It's very user-friendly.
