I live in the land of no doubles, so it is pretty hard to get food items for free. But, I still manage to save here and there. I normally make two types of trips. One is just regular grocer shopping, to buy milk, meat, vegetables, etc. Not much couponing here, just go after some sale items. When stores have a good promotion (such as buy 25 items and get $20 off), that's when I go shopping with a bunch of coupons. It's not unusual to save 85% to 95% when I combine coupons and promotions.
