I was looking for a birthday gift for my friend last weekend, worth most $30. So I went to this accessories outlet and my goodness, I managed to buy 2 pairs of earings (each worth $59) and another 3 pairs (each worth $20) at a discounted rate! And guess what? For all the five pairs of earrings, I only paid like $10 I walked out from the store happily and found a gift for myself too heh.

Default happy gardener!

We needed cedar mulch and rocks for various landscaping projects around the house. I always walk around the entire nursery looking at all the pretty plants that perhaps someday I'll buy, and I noticed a big messy pile of bags, including the red cedar and rocks. The bags were split open--some badly, but some only on the corners. I asked the clerk how much they were--and they were $1 a bag. The rocks were normally $5 a bag and cedar mulch $4 a bag.

We mucked around in there for about 20 minutes, got the clerk to give us some tape and saved about $60 by refilling split bags and taping up others.
I'm overjoyed!
