Default K-mart Kids Dept Clearence DEALS!

I'm hoping to do this again this fall. But last year in Oct when they were doing the last mark downs on all their summer stuff I was getting things for 5-10% of orig price!!!! I bought 2 dresses for my baby last summer for .45!!! Levi's shorts for my baby .50! I was having a blast! Rummage sale prices for brand new stuff!!!

Also my dh got fishing supplies for pennies! Most everything he bought was between .09 - $1, most was under .50!

A trick to find the really cheap stuff:

* look for yellowed tags, if there's isn't a mark down sticker go scan it & see what it comes up as.
*if you find something for dirt cheap look @ the season code, it's likely that anything else with the same season code is just as cheap!!

We did pretty good this year, not as well as last fall.

But I found alot of childrens jeans for $1.50, jean shorts for .50-$1.50, Licensed Kids sets for $3 or less. I also found a beach towel for $1.50 reg $14. A $45 stuffed rocking horse for $4.

I was disappointed @ finding costumes this year. Even if stuff was 75% off it was still like $5-10 ea! I hope they aren't leaning twards KOHLS' policy of marking stuff up outragously, market their store brand so agressivly that they can demand such prices & then broadcast all over tv LOOK @ US 50-75% off EVERY WEEK... UM HELLO! When did store brands cost so much? Ok nuf of my soap box about Kohls... but those prices were so reminding me of them.

So the next big mark downs won't be til I think late march early April.

I love Kmart because they often put there stuff on clearance way before other store.

I used to love Kohl's because of this but it's definately not as good as it used to be. One trick I have learned is to shop online and do a search. Right now they are doing 10, 20 or 30% off. Of course my coupon is 20% but you can find the 30% code online and if you can find a free shipping code - take advantage!

Oh - and I have been noticing that I can buy things on walmart.com cheaper than in the regular store - funny thing is I can have them deliver to store for 97cents or free if they are running a special!

My closest K-Mart hires the grumpiest people and have the worst service. The only service I even look for in a store like that is just someone to take my money so I can leave with my purchase. They are bad even at that. Still I might stop in to see about clearance on those fishing supplies. Oh, how we "suffer" for a little saving, huh?

I was so disappointed this last time around (oct). All the kids clearance was marked @ $1.99. Ok not bad, BUT when I was getting stuff for rummage sale prices has me curious as to what the dealie-o is. I scanned some summer stuff last week when I was there & they only had the stuff marked like @ most 50% off WTH?!?!? Why are they holding onto stuff from summer still??? And when I went to scan stuff it was comming up as "check shelf price" HUH?!?!?! The only deals I've found since August (last time I found rummage sale prices really) were two creepers marked @ .70 ea, a dora hat & elmo hat for .50 ea & some sunglasses for $2 that's the best I've found. I"m just really disappointed as I got a gc when my ds was born and I wanted to stock up..... *sigh*

our kmart is like that too...its horrible. it use to be a great place where me and mom would go all the time when i was a little girl - but now we can't stand it. the stuff NEVER rings up right at the register and even if you try to tell them its a certain price all they say is "oh someone put it in the wrong place" ...even if 30 other items are there too...then they change their tune to "oh well the wrong sign is up". you have to watch all purchases VERY carefully, and theres no one ever at the cafe working, and theres no air condition either. we only go their now when its more convenient than the walmart hassle - and then the only thing we do is go in, get our purchase and leave (holding our breath hoping the price will ring up correct).
