Default Menu that works

OK I have tried making menus, letting someone else make them, writing them on the calendar, writing them on the fridge, writing them on the computer, emailing them to me, but...up until last week, nothing kept me from actually making whatever it was I wanted. Which is ok, except I just had to throw out half a bag of potatoes that were to eyeballed up to eat.

Then I figured it out, I write the menu on the fridge (wipe off board) with no dates, that way I just cross off what we eat, and I can see what is left. So if the end of the week rolls around and I still havn't used up all the potato dinners, those are first on the list of what to eat. So far we are on our third week and I have actually managed to eat all of the meals on the list . This should cut down on tossed potatoes, and such.

The menu btw is rather vauge, potato is enough of a meal for me, that way if I am in the mood for soup we have soup, if I am in the mood for casserole, thats what we have. if there is something we specifically bought to go with the potatoes, I would write that there, like "potato/cheese" so I have to chose a meal that uses both. Or move the cheese to another nearby meal . OR a meal this week is "pasta" haven't figured out the sauce yet, depends on my mood .
