My DS is in a church program and will need to bring something for about 23 children to eat as a snack. Because there are two children in the program with severe peanut allergies, I cant buy/bring anything with peanuts or processed in a place that processes peanuts. (I am not upset about this I just want to be extra careful because of the possible outcome if I am not)

.
I really don't want to make cookies because I would like it to be a little healthier but yet child friendly....Dont want my kid becoming the "his mommy brought yucky treats" kid. Also he starts kindergarten in the fall and I know I will need Ideas for then because the peanut allergy problem seems to get worse and worse each year.
I am afraid to buy something off the shelf because of all the chemical names nut/peanut products can be labeled under.
Does anyone have any ideas of recipes that would be a good snack and still be frugle on my budget?

I thank you for your ideas.
