...that does not list ingredients in grams/ Kilos or oz/lbs.... I need tbsp and/or cups....because we don't have a kitchen scale!....
Help!...I've found 100+ recipes, and most call for grams or oz...I then looked at the equivalencies tables, but, something always goes wrong and on several occasions I have ended with brownies that give us all sugar OD and/or take about 3 hours to cook! (so much sugar, they just don't "bake" right!) |

Here's my DH's grandmother's recipe...it's very cake-like, so if you are looking for fudgy, this might not be the one for you. My MIL makes these a lot and always adds a little something, either some raspberry jam and chocolate frosting on top, or peppermint patties crushed up in the middle. You can also add chocolate chips, walnuts, etc - whatever sounds good.
Brownies 1/2 cup butter, melted 4 Tbsp cocoa (or a little more...) 1 cup sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 3/4 cup flour Mix together, bake in 9 inch square pan (greased) at 350 degrees (I don't know how long - I neglected to write it down!) |

20 minutes seems a fair guess (that's what most brownie recipes call for!).
Thanks, Jodi, I'll try this one!....the proportions look about right to me! (we made one that, as far as we could figure with the equivalents table, called for 1/2 cup flour and 2 cups sugar!!! can you imagine??) |

You know, I seem to have given myself a hankering for brownies now...maybe I'll be making these soon too
![]() Let me know how they turn out - I have made them, but nt in a few years. I tend to go for the fudgier brownie mixes. But this recipe is outstanding with a little raspberry jam and chocolate frosting! |

Lol!...well, 1 thing: it should be 40 minutes, not 20!...I also prefer the fudgier brownies for home, but, for Ale's lunchbox, they're a mess!...I'll try this recipe (probably tonight, as I'm scheduled to arrive early tonight!)

www.allrecipes.com always has good recipes that are rated. They use US measurements of cups and teaspoons.

Try America's Test Kitchen, too. They test every recipe repeatedly until they come up with the best one. Their triple chocolate brownies are TO DIE FOR. Seriously. I could eat an entire pan all by myself. It's in their cookbook (also fabulous, highly recommended) but you have to pay for the recipe online. If you want it, pm me!

This will sound totally wierd but trust me it is soooo good. I got this off a weight watchers message board.
Take a low fat brownie mix (or regular if you dont care) and puree a can of black beans in a blender or food processor until completely liquid. Combine the beans & mix (thats it, nothing else) and bake according to directions on the box. They taste wonderful & are lower in fat & high in fiber. You cant taste the beans. |
