Default I need biscuit help!!!

I'm trying to find a way to quit buying the frozen, convenient premade biscuits and making them myself. I do fine when making them and cooking them all, but how to I make them, freeze them and have them cook up the same as the frozen store bought ones? My frozen ones don't cook up like they do when fresh. Anyone know the secret? I'd love to find it so I can make my own and not buy the ones at the store. BTW, I use real butter in my biscuits instead of shortening. Could that be the problem???

Thanks!!!!!

I agree with Princess Perky
I sometimes make Bisquick type biscuits
I have homemade bisquick......
Then I go ahead and cook them. Let them cool completely.......
Flash freeze them and once they are frozen enough I place them in my deep freeze in a Ziplock container. Pop them into the oven frozen to cook. I think the temp is 350 for 10 minutes, but I use a gas stove and man it gets hot super fast!
Dad uses electric and he pre-heats his oven to 400 and cooks them 10 to 12 minutes.
