What is Your Best Picnic/Covered Dish Recipie?
What is your "dish" that you usually bring to picnics/dinners? I sometimes make tortilla roll-ups which go pretty well with the younger crowd. I mix cream cheese, a little mayo, some green onions, and jalapeno. Spread and roll up and serve with Salsa. Another dish I make is "Orange Fluff" which consists of cottage cheese, crushed pineapple, mandarin oranges, cool whip, and orange jello. I personally love this and tend to overeat it. What do you make?

Chicken wings:
3/4 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup soy sauce, mix. Take a lot of wings, cut in half, and soak in the mixture. Bake 1 and a half hours in a pan at 350 with some extra juice/sauce, turning over every half hour (twice). Really simple, and tasy, and relatively cheap.

Yum! Sounds tasty. I bake plain old wings till cooked. Then, I toss them in 1/2 butter, 1/2 hot sauce with a dash of cayenne pepper. Or, I just toss with bottled honey BBQ or whatever. DH goes crazy over that served with celery and ranch dressing.

Re: What is Your Best Picnic/Covered Dish Recipie?
I tend to make desserts a lot since I enjoy baking. I gt a lot of recipe requests when I make "Carrot Cake Surprise". It's a bundt carrot cake with a ring of cream cheese through it.
Over the summer we make a lot of dishes from the garden, like broccoli salad (with cheese, bacon, red onion, and a mayo/sugar/vinegar dressing), or tomatoes/cukes with Italian dressing.
