Pork Loin Roast- yummy and easy
If you need a tasty, super easy recipe...here is one I tried last night:
1 pork loin roast (on sale)
put in crockpot with a little water
season salt, garlic salt and pepper
1 small can of either diced green chili's or salsa verde.
Let it cook...when it is done, it has the best flavor and is so versatile...we used this one as a roast with potatoes and green beans, but it also makes great mexi food..tacos, burritoes, or just pork chili verde. yum!

another crockpot favorite...
Beef roast- pretty much any cut.
1 can beef consomme'
seasoned salt, garlic salt, pepper to taste...
cut up and add your potatoes now...
cut up whatever veggies sound good and add about an hour before youre ready to eat.
very, very tasty!

Re: Pork Loin Roast- yummy and easy
and for chicken....
put whole chicken in crockpot....
put a few dabs of butter on top...
sprinkle with curry powder (if you really like curry, sprinkle a little more)
that's it!
Serve with whatever veggies and sides you like. The chicken has the best curry flavor when done!!

Re: Pork Loin Roast- yummy and easy
I've been making something similar since I was kid. If you don't have a crock pot 3-4 hours in a 325 oven works too. We'd always add chopped up veggies. Potatoes, carrots, bell peppers, onions, anaheim peppers, and seasonings galore. I wrap it foil and stick in the oven before church. When you get back the house smells sooooo goood. I love it when the meat just falls apart. You add plenty of water and then use the liquid to make a yummy gravey. The green chilies int he can, like suggested, give it an awsome flavor. I've also put onion soup mix over it too. Great now I'm hungry.

Re: Pork Loin Roast- yummy and easy
Okay, I might go for this. I'm usually intimidated by meat: it takes effort. But the crock pot thing, ya that's good. And easy. I'd be tempted to make a big batch and then put some in cottage cheese tub tupperware for future meals. Since I do sandwiches and tortilla things all the time, so, yeah, Ray, you might have gotten me into the meat aisle.

Re: Pork Loin Roast- yummy and easy
Ray, the crock pot pork worked great. I used pork shoulder blade, which I'm sure isn't as good, but the fat melted and was scoopable. I used one small can of green chilies, but two or three would have been fine. depending on how sassy you want it to be.
I'm likely to try the chicken and beef ideas. I've got a freezer now -!!!!- so I can get the big, cheap, "family size" slabs, and when I cook them, I've got room to freeze leftover meals. I fillec ottage cheese tubs with the pork for various future meals.
Here's another chicken one:
No-Time Thai Chicken
One Chicken (or whatever pieces you like)
One can coconut milk from funky cheap little delightful Asian store
One strand lemon grass from same (it was in the freezer at the store)
Dump in crock pot, hang out, cook some rice, eat.
