What?? Only 5 muffins?

That's what I said when I was making muffins tonight. The pre-packaged mix, that used to make 6 muffins, only makes 5 now. I've heard of "downsizing" products to keep the price the same, yet make a little more profit, but this is ridiculous! I mean, muffin trays come with 6 (or 12) cups. C'mon. Of course, no one looks at this in the store before they buy it. Very sneaky.

(Before anyone points out that muffin mixes are not the frugal way to have muffins, I did not buy the mix - my mom did. But still, my muffins NEVER come out as good...)

Guess they want you to make smaller muffins ---- only fill the cup 1/4 full for best results---lol

Jodi, I disagree...if you buy muffins pre-made, much more expensive. If you buy the mix on sale with a coupon, free!

I like to mix the mix into my own giant recipe to replace some of the dry ingredients. Nice balance.
