Anyone ever have a Stone Soup get together? It involes a huge pot and everyone bringing a little something!

Yep! We did this as a homeschooling thing. We actually washed off a stone and stuck it in the soup!! The kids loved it.

You take a stone and clean it and put it in a pot of boiling water. Folks come with meat and veggies and put in what they have brought. Sometimes it ends up more like a stew!

there was actually a food network show where the host went around a neighborhood gathering ingredients for "stone soup" and then when he was finished everybody gathered and had some... it looked like fun...

We used to do this once a year when I was little. My mom would read us the book, we'd go collect stones from outside, scrub them, and make soup.

It was probably my mom's 'fun' way of cleaning out the fridge and freezer...hmmm...I think I'm going to try this with my 3 kids. We have that book somewhere around here!
