I seem to recall there was an episod of "King of the Hill" that was about a pooper scooper business.

I know someone that came up with a great idea. They paid some college kids to put flyers on everyones doors within a community with several hundred homes. It was to paint numbers on curbs for $8 each. The flyer stated the date that they were going to do it and included an envelope. If you were interested, you just mailed $8 with your address. Two weeks later they would come out and do it. He'd get a bunch of houses in one neighborhood. Would take him about 5 minutes each and only cost him some paint and stencils. $8 isn't much to part with and he got a 20% response rate. He'd do community after community and did rather well.

I just passed this one on to our youth group minister. They are looking for ways to raise money for a trip later this year....

I've twisted balloons for several years on the side. Have built a nice referral business that allows me to work the jobs I like. Pay comes out to about $25 per hour. Fun work!
