Default What about the American Association of Individual Investors?

Anyone here had any experience with this group? Are they worth the 29 dollars they are asking for a years membership?

I am a lifetime member since 1987 but I believe they don't offer that option anymore. They supply usually a fairly informational monthly journal on investing methodology and a tax planning guide in November.

Is it worth $29 per year? I think the information supplied especially if you are a novice is well worth the $29. AAII also has local chapters across the USA. Although I have not been active in the local scene for some time now, It is a great way to connect with people with the same interests in investing.
