Default What is your FICO score?

I went to Bankrate.Com and used their FICO calculator. I scored between a 780 and an 830. I guess I'll get an actual score when I get a free credit report.

What is your FICO score?

Last FICO check for me was 716. But I have been told that this score will rise now that my credit card debt is gone and all monthly expenses are paid at the end of the month.

I have not had this card a year yet...so my future FICO is looking bright!

680s, last time I checked, after only having credit for a year. That was a year ago; it should be better now.

Only 756, due to the fact that I opened a couple of new cards this summer, so history with any one card was short. It will probably get worse because I'm planning to cancel the card I've had the longest early next year.

Last I checked, 770. It fell 3 points this past month for some reason, but I'm hoping it'll go back up (my score is up and down sometimes). I have Providian credit card, and they provide my credit score monthly free of charge when I check on my account online.

jmjj215, you can get a basic idea over on bankrate.com. When you get a free credit report you might inquire about your FICO.

You'll have to pay to get a credit score, the report itself (scoreless, just the info) is free.

772, but it's always changing. As long as I'm over 720, I really don't care too much.

Your free government credit report from Experian, TransUnion and Equifax will not contain a credit score. It will be just the report. You will have to pay between $5 - $10 to get your real score.

Nonetheless, if feels good when you see that your accounts are in good standing.

I check my scores 2-3 times a year. I just checked couple of weeks ago and my scores were 761, 768, and 796 from each of the separate reporting agencies. They all have the same credit info, but calculate your fico score based upon their own "system". So it is probably a good idea to check all 3.

The best place I found is myfico.com. You can always find promo codes to lower the price. But whomever said they don't care as long as their score is over 720 is on the right track. But remember it is your middle score (i.e., mine is 768) that counts on your mortgage loan.

My health insurance sat on a bill until it went into collections (I was never notified of this, BTW) then paid it, so my score shows a collections. I can't challenge it because it was paid.

The score also reflected "too many queries". I'm not sure where that would be unless it was from house insurance and car insurance quotes. I was told they wouldn't count, but I didn't seek any financing from anyone in that time.

So ... mine fluctuates between 720 and 750. Good enough to get a good rate for my mortgage. In about 4 more years, that collections will drop off and it should go up.

Nice to see these great FICO scores. I've been tracking my FICO scores for the last three years through a paid service. My highest score was a 777, my lowest was a 660 due to an account that went to collections on a loan that I co-signed for a family member - NEVER doing that again EVER!!

In the past six months I've raised my FICO score 30 pts but I'm still not happy with it yet so it will remain my secret for now - it's above 700 but I want it back at 777 or above!
