Re: Get Paid For Surveys
Some yes. But it's a matter of are you working at home, or outside of your house. Vs. Do you make a decent income, or do you enjoy taking surveys?
I do them because I enjoy them, and I get some money. I cannot work outside of the home with my condition, so every little bit helps. The fact that I won from Ipsos- i-Say $100 has definatly encouraged me to keep trying.
Surveys are a beautiful thing for many, and a waste for others, your opinion is basically whether you do them for money and is it worth it.
My answer it is worth your time, IF you enjoy it, you've got the time, or you work at home!

Re: Get Paid For Surveys
I've been doing surveys for Sage Research for about 1 1/2 years now, and make around $500 a year in Amazon.com gift certificates (mostly) and some cash (I got a $150 check from them once). I work in the information technology field, so my surveys are business related and revolve around the computer/telephone industry, but I think they have other categories to enroll in. You may want to check them out. I don't get surveys often, but it seems that every few months they offer me a lot at one time. I just completed 2 in the last 2 weeks and will get $50 in Amazon gift certificates for these.

Exactly. They are not worth the time. I hate how all these people talk about how such and such a survey paid x$ because they only mention the one or two. Not the 100+ they had to weed through or that it's the huge exception to the rule. And the only ones that qualify for those are the ones that are doing surveying full time and searching for that stuff everyday. For average joe, they are nothing more than a scam...maybe pinecone, but even they only pay $5 and I don't think it's worth the time (my personal opinion having used them).

Re: Get Paid For Surveys
I agree with lisajane. If you have the time, and enjoy it, why not?
If you're busy, and want to make a decent hourly wage (and I agree surveys do not pay a consistently decent hourly wage), then don't do surveys. It's that simple.
I just get a little grumpy when people start being derisive of choices others are making.
Personally, I enjoy the pinecone ones. I've done others and they're rather dull. I save them for my part time job, where I alternate from being run ragged and sitting around. During the sitting around times, I'm happy to do silly rewards programs like MyPoints, and online surveys that pay a couple bucks if I'm lucky. Oh, and chit-chat on this board.

Re: Get Paid For Surveys
I love Hotspex, even though they don't pay anything. You have a chance to enter your Spex's into Prize draws and/or win a Ipod on the Prize wheel. But their surveys are entertaining. Heck they did ones on Royal Bank and new food products.
Pinecone is so fun, I got by fiancee to join up and he was having fun eating the test product they sent him. Yummm.... I also had test products in the past.
Consumer Mail Panel
and Pinecone both do this

Re: Get Paid For Surveys
Pinecone does really pay. I joined last week, got an email the next day, did a survey, and received a $5 check in the mail yesterday!
I haven't fished through other survey sites -- I saw that this one pays, found a link, and joined. I work 40 hours a week, but I like taking surveys, and I have internet access, so I see no problem taking 10 minutes to do a survey for $5 cash.

Re: Get Paid For Surveys
To follow up on pinecone... I posted 11/22 about my first pinecone survey and first $5 check. On 11/23 I got my second pinecone survey, and received my second $5 check over Thanksgiving weekend! I'm pleased with Pinecone so far!

Re: Get Paid For Surveys
I became a member of the AC Nielson company homescan.com recently. Although they don't pay cash, you accumulate points and can exchange them for products that are in their extensive catalog. They also have special drwaings monthly, quarterly and annually where they give away really nice prizes (like cars and trips) to those who participate regularly. I was on a waiting list for a few months before getting accepted to the homescan panel. Apparently you have to wait until they need someone who fits your profile. They send you a scanner that you use to scan all your purchases. You transmit your shopping info once a week via internet. the scanning just takes a couple of minutes and the transmitting is super easy.

Re: Get Paid For Surveys
I have found a working (as of tonight) link for signing up with Pinecone. PM me if interested. I have no idea how long it will be valid.
Edit: Sorry, the link is now defunct.
