Default September Goals!

So, what are your goals for this month? And how did you do in last month's goals????

My goals are:

1. Paying off my Best Buy cc on 9/15. $458.53

2. Pay at least $400 off on my Discover. I am returning to work after being out for surgery, which will help because I am going to be going back to my 2nd job, so I'll have an extra $235 a week to play with. All the income from this job is going to go towards Discover first, then savings. I may even be able to pay this card off, combined with income from my ft job.

2. Build up my EF. I would state a number, but since debt is the first priority, I can't. I have $500 in my account currently, $1k is a safe number that I expect to be at by the end of October (if not sooner). Long term goal is $10k.

3. Keep grocery budget at $250 a month, weekly totals at $105 for myself and my SO, Nick. Less if possible. Gas is of course a huge factor in this so we shall see.

4. Try to get 4-5 days of exercise in there - I need to lose some weight. Also cut back on soda consumption - this is the main reason I have put on weight.

I'll let you know how I did at the end of the month. I think I met all of last month's goals, except for maybe my EF, but again this is due to my focus on eliminating debt.

Good luck!

I actually do like those, they have them at Wal-Mart for $1 each (big bottles). I might buy those but I am aiming to drink more water as well.

My September goals:

1. Pay quarterly estimated taxes ON TIME! (have the money, just HATE doing it)
2. $1000 to savings for emergency fund. Working on 3 months expenses right now ($5000) and I'm at $2000.
3. Learn more about mutual funds.
4. Work extra hours for my roommate, put that money into savings.
5. Have a budget, try to stick to it, track spending.

My September goals:

1) Order lot of items to resell on Ebay (will put me in initial debt of $1500 but I should be able to make a profit of $500-1000 on it for a few hours of work)

2) Bring credit card debt down to $8000 (not much down, but hey I'm writing these goals halfway through September).

3) Work hard on my writing career so I can start bringing in a regular paycheck (got one this month, and another coming in November, but that's it right now).

4) Set up a website for my freelance writing business.

5) Set up Quicken so that we can eventually make a reliable budget.

6) Eat out less, and when we eat out, stick to $10 or less (we can share a meal at the Chinese restaurant for $7 including tip, or eat at fast food restaurants for $4 for both of us).

7) Try to stick around the house more to save on gas

8) Plan ahead meals so that I can save money when buying groceries (hehe try to eat more cereal... my hubby loves cereal, so he doesn't mind)

9) Get back on track with my diet. I plateau'd after losing 10lbs... I have at least 15 more to go.

That's all I can think of for now.
