I have 3 master cards that I use for the rewards points, a Sears card and a Kohls card. Anything I charge I pay off right away...

I have 2 credit cards and 2 store cards. I only use one of each, and I pay off everything every month.

I have 8
I occassionally get a new one when there's a good signup bonus. The last good one was the Charles Schwab VISA that gave away a $150 VISA gift card on signup and use. I mostly just use the one that has the best cash back (Citi Dividend M/C). I don't usually carry a balance.

We have one cc that is only used when we can't use a debit card.

2 credit cards and 4 store cards. $0 balance on all. I was told not to cancel them and I occassionally use one of the credit cards. I do use the store cards sometimes if they are giving a decent reduction in purchase prices!

1 cc, 1 as an additional user, 1 store card and, apparenty, a gas company card. I didn't know about the gas company card, I remember getting it in college but never used it and I'm sure I tried to cancel it. It doesn't show a balance so now I'm not sure what to do about it.
Right now there is no balance on any of them, but I use them for the rewards points. |

A billion but only one in use at any given time (the one with the lowest rate), not something I am happy about, but not my pick. (all but two were here before I got married)

I have one credit card and I use it for everything, even the cable and internet bill. I pay it off in full every month and the bill is never less than $900.

At one point I had 14, I am now down to 2, which will be reduced to 1 by the 15th of this month.

We have three.
One we use as a household card and everything we buy goes on it (and a few bills also). It gets paid off immediately after the bill comes. Another one is my husband's "work" card. He uses it when he travels for work and for when he has to buy things for work (that computer cable they have to have right now, etc.). This one is essentially paid by his work. He has to submit expense reports and then gets the check for it. We get reward points on those two and I use those points for gift cards to pay for my Mom's night outs and for a few other things. The other card just isn't used. We just don't even activate it when we get it. We have had it for so long that it just isn't worth canceling. |

Let's see....
1 card that I have never used, but is there in case I should ever go negative on my checking account, any debits would automatically be charged, there by avoiding any insufficient funds charges. 1 That I use every month for all of my groceries and gas, that CC is paid off in full every month, I do if for the points. 1 Card that has never had a balance, but has a fixed rate of 4.99%, so if I should ever need to charge something that I will not be able to pay off in full. 1 Best buy card, because when I do buy a computer it usually is not charged interest for a year. |
