one job in last 10 years (I graduated college a little more than 10 years ago). I work for a software company on it's fourth name change (one interview, one job, one building, but 4 different companies).
While in college, I was on 7 year plan (the same plan which suggests my senior year was the best 4 years of my life). In those 7 years, I think I had 4 jobs which gave me some of the experience I use today. Those 4 jobs were all "3 month" co-op assignments spent 15 months at one spent 3 months at another spent 12 months at another spent 6 months at last one (which landed the job I have now). HS- I had probably 4-5 jobs, plus odd things for cash (reffing soccer games was quite profitable).

Part-time jobs during my teens Babysitter, Daycare Center, Cashier and Customer service at a grocery store. I worked at Orange Julius for 1 night and hated it.
I have only had 2 full time jobs after high school, but held many positions at one...I know this place inside and out!!! Electronics manufacturing company--worked as an Inspector and then QA inspector ---laid off after a year. Assembler/furnace operator for future FIL's competing electronics company for 2 months, then got laid off. (Industry was slow in 1995) Called back to first company, worked as Inspector, QA inspector, Production Control/shipping, Engineering Technician (while in college) then promoted to Process Engineer when I got my degree. Now, in addition to my engineering duties, I am also the 2nd Shift Supervisor. |
