Need short-term disability ins.

Anyone buy their own short-term disability insurance? I need insurance to cover my DH, as his employer doesn't offer it.

Don't know how the heck we're going to afford one more bill, but it makes me nervous not to have it.

I am in the process of getting it for my husband. He is in construction and it worries me too! If you have USAA, go with them, very inexpensive, but I haven't talked with the local guy yet (monday) and will find out and compare. may be a hard bill to pay but what if he gets hurt? no money then at all!
