financial crisis
I'm in a financial crisis. I'm in need of a loan but can't seem able to get one from these loan centers online or my bank because of my credit but I am employed and am able to make monthly payments to payback the loan but still I have not been able to get one. Anything I can do or anywhere else I can go to get one?

Re: financial crisis
Why do you need the loan? What's your situation?

Re: financial crisis
Jesse's right (that happens a lot ). Depending on the situation there might be all sorts of options available. Also, do you have any collateral? (House or car are the two most common) Or anyone who might be willing to co-sign?

Re: financial crisis
Katriona,
I'd really like to know why you need the loan in the first place? Loans (except for homes) kind of make me leary. To 34savings good advice, you usually are denied a loan for a pretty valid reason. What do you think the reason might be? Co-signing will get you a loan, but could have longer-term side effects if the loan goes south and your co-signer has to pick up the tab. Usually harsh feelings ensue in such a situation.

Re: financial crisis
Well, it's kind of ridiculous but my husband and I had some money saved up and I took the money out to close the account at one bank and put the money in another bank. In between I was doing errands and left my purse in one of the stores (the money was in an envelope), when I got back to the store to get my purse the money was stolen. I reprted it to the police but it's gone and I need to find a way to get the money back. It will take us so long to save that money again and we had it saved up for a certain reason

Re: financial crisis
Are you planning on building a home there or something? I hope this isn't leveraged speculation?!

Re: financial crisis
yeah, we had already been out there and saw some land with a couple different realtors. 2 acres would be between $7900 and $8100 then the next step after that would build a house on it or we were looking at some modular homes too

Re: financial crisis
Wow, I'm really surprised you can't get a mortgage to cover the cost of land?! Also, being a native Phoenician myself, I'm thinking you're moving pretty far out of the city? Cool.

Re: financial crisis
No we can't, unfortunately. Yeit's in between Flagstaff and Ashfork up in the mountains where it's not 115 degress, lol. I wouldn't be able to take it. I think I'd be cranky every day in that heat, lol. Land is actually pretty cheap there, you'd be suprised.

Re: financial crisis
Katriona,
Well, that sounds very very cool. I was born and raised down in the city, so I guess you grow accustomed to the 115 degree days and 100 degree nights.
So you need $8100. If I were you I'd just get a tight written budget and bust it for everything you're worth to scrape together that $8,100 then. So many of these loan places online and stuff "quick cash" are total rip-offs. It's so much better in the long run to save and pay cash for it. Can you see you and your husband doing that again? (Sorry about the loss by the way - I would just die if that happened to me!).

Re: financial crisis
If you are having trouble with a laon for $8,100. What are they telling you? it is often related to credit or debt. If this is your second home/property, the rules can be a bit more strict.
As an suggestion. When you take out large amounts of money, get a cashier's check. If you lose the money, you can cancel the check.

Re: financial crisis
Hey jmjj215. I'm a native Phoenician too. We're a relatively rare breed. Especially us Older natives.
Though I'm a native, I have Never gotten used to 115 days and 100 nights. That's why my summer utility bills are killers.
Torch - aka al0061
P.S. Hope I didn't derail the thread too much. Carry on.

Re: financial crisis
Do you have homeowners insurance or renters insurance that would possibly cover the stolen cash? Also, sometimes your auto insurance covers thefts of certain nature. I had money and a ring stolen/disappear one time and my homeowners insurance covered it.

Re: financial crisis
I'm up in Norhtern AZ and the land isn't all that cheap in my area, you must be looking into some land where it's not all that developed. Is the property that you're looking at improved land?
