How do you know her finances are "all screwed up?" Maybe she actually wants to work for another 5 years.

How people spend their money is completely their business. However, what often happens is that people who don't make good financial choices will eventually get into trouble and request help, either from people they know or from the government. Or, they file for bankruptcy.

I've seen people (who could barely afford to) take expensive vacations later go on food stamps or welfare because they didn't look at their long-range financial futures. Therefore, what previously was none of our business now becomes our business because we have to pay for that irresponsibility.
