Default Solar Water Heater Tax Credit Question

I'm trying to figure out what would and wouldn't qualify for the 30% tax credit for solar hot water systems.

here is a link to the specific section of the IRS code for the credit.
http://www.dsireusa.org/documents/Incentives/US37F1.pdf
And here is the tax form for the credit.
http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f5695.pdf

If I were to buy a SCRR-certified solar hot water collector and installed it. Then plumb the collecter with insulated copper pipe to home-made hot water storage tank, which is used as the primary hot water and only for the home. Would I be able to apply the tax credit to the collector? the storage tank? plumbing between the collector and tank?
