Default CFD's Contracts for Difference??

I'm new to the investment world, but have started reading a book that has really gotten me motivated to invest my money. In it, it talks about CFD's (Contracts for Difference) It explains how they work and I understand that part, but does anyone know of any books or online resources that I could investigate this with. The book I'm reading makes them sound really profitable because the return on investment is so high, but it doesn't give much more detail. Any suggestions?

I don't anything about them, but a quick search tells me that the profit is due to high risk. Yes, playing margins can make you a lot of money if you guess right, but also bankrupt you quite fast if you guess wrong.

Thank you for the info. I will do more search. I think investment should be more about research than guessing, so I am going to do a bunch of research before I invest.
