Default does my situation merit tapping into my ef ?

I'll presentt my situation . Currently I owe about 1.8 on my credit card that has a rate of about 10.1 %. My ed has about 6 grand in it . I'm currently netting between 1200 and 1600 every 2 weeks (that's after my 6% for 401k ) . Now I need to also get some dental work done which I'm guessing after insurance pays their share will be another 400-500 bucks . My monthly bills are about 1500 and I spend on leisure/food/gas about 700 a month . I have 3 friends living in my house and their combined rent is about 900 . Considering this balance on my card is an anomoly because a few. Random bills came up out of nowhere that don't normally present themselves , I bought a tv , and I took about 5 extra days off last month for prior engagements (two checks ago was much lower than normal ). With this being considered that I.normally never carry a credit card balance would it sound safe to take out the possible 2300 to pay off my card so.I can get back to clean slate , and ill make sure to toss in extra on my ed after that to.catch up .

Pay off the card, pay for the dental work, then focus on building your EF back up.

That's what I was thinking sounded like the best option . I just gotta watch my non-monthly bill spending to not let this happen again .

I agree. It makes no sense to be paying 10% interest when you have the cash to pay it off.

I would pay off the CC with the EF, but I'd save for the dental work - it's 2 months of savings (at most) and with a little cutback, you could even do it in 1-1.5 months.

Then make sure you save enough that this situation doesn't occur again.

I already have been putting of the dental work so I'm gonna probably just get it done , then I'm gonna do another rough evaluation of my spending because I haven't done one of those in a few years . To male it easy ill Prolly just try one month with cash only , I tend to do better record keeping that way
