Do you belong to a union??

I belong to a union, and never thought much of it. I never really read the union newspaper I get very well --till recently. I found out, I get a 10% discount on my cellular service. So, I signed up for that. Now today, I find out I can also get a credit card thru the union (which I don't intend to get, as I have no credit card debt and want none), and I can also get a discount on my dish service, and my electric. I said something to my mom, who retired from where I work, and was a member of the same union. She belongs to AARP and gets the same discounts thru them. So, it pays to ask companies if you may qualify for any discounts from organizations you belong to.

Yes, they do offer some discounts. They can help in certain industries, but you also have to pay union dues so they should give something in return.
