If you have a taste for freshly squeezed juice, it's definitely worth it to invest in a juicer for your home. Most fresh juice places charge a minimum of $4.00-$5.00 (for a small glass). And you can get a good juicer for around $75-$80 these days. So it basically pays for itself after about just 15 uses!

For anyone traveling internationally, try going to free, Lonely Planet's 'Thorn Tree' on-line site where you can ask questions which are mostly answered by residents or long term visitors.
You will learn why no one drinks tap water, imported/franchise stuff is uber expensive, Value Added Tax [VAT] is tacked to everything, foreigners pay about double what locals pay and so much more
