Default CapitalOne vs ING Direct

FYI, Capital one is now at 3.10% APY for those of you who do not want the Emigrant Direct Hassle but would like a higher rate than ING (2.80%)

Check them out for yourself :
http://www.capitalone.com/ and click on savings.

CapitalOne now has its rate at 3.15% - I hope that means we'll see others raising thier interest rates soon too.

Capital One is at 3.15% APY or 3.20% APY(for Costco members with 5000 min deposit). They also have custodian account for minors paying 3.15% APY.

I think that ING has decided no longer to be a high interest rate leader. 3% is good, but there are more and more banks offering slightly better rates these days. I don't think they are even in the top ten anymore.

Both are being left in the dust by presidential.com out of DC as far as rate is concerned. presidential bank has 3.25% checking and 3.5% savings.
