Pass money through a will or a trust?

Which is a better vehicle for passing on assets? Can any one tell me where to find info on trusts and how to set them up?

We have a trust and from what I understand it's a better way to go in that you avoid probate. We set ours up about a year ago, mainly in DD's interest should DH and I die while she's still a minor. (shudders even thinking about it) I don't know of any specific sites online, but you could google "living trust" and I'm sure lots of sites will pop up.
