Default For the Rebate Lovers here...

I am a regular rebate shopper, and can't remember the last time I paid for a toothbrush, deo, or paid even 25% of the retail price for shampoo or other personal care items.

I had to share this month's success story at RiteAid. (My personal favorite because you enter the receipts online, and don't even pay for a stamp! And...they are quick.)

Here's what I got:

1. Garnier hair color
2. 96 count Crayola Crayons
3. 36 count Always maxi pads
4. Lysol all purpose spray cleaner
5. Crayola sidewalk chalk bucket (20 count)
6. Aquafresh Extreme Clean toothpaste
7. Adidas deo
8. Electrasol dishwasher gel
9. GE extension cord
10. Sea Breeze facial astringent
11. VO5 hairspray
12. Crayola Color Wonder paint + paper
13. TWO GUM toothbrushes
14. TWO L'Oreal Grab hair gels
15. Got2b shampoo

After tax (and coupon deductions), the total for 17 items was $45.29.

The rebate checks I'm getting in the mail total $37.96!!!! They had some double rebates, which really helped.

That means the true cost of these items to me is ONLY $7.33!!! Yippee. That's an average of 43 cents per item, including taxes paid.

GREAT MONTH.

Hey thats very good. We dont have a rite aid here. We have walgreens though I always do thier rebates & get the gc they had 10% to the rebate if you use your gc & then I use coupons on top of that so I get some good deals thier.

I love rebates!!

WOW that's awsome!

I also don't have a rite-aid here. I have tried Walgreens rebates & haven't had any success in the past w/ receiving the rebate check but the gift card idea makes me want to try again... if I can remember to stop there when I'm out & about.

Have a question. Can you use more than one rebate? With coupons you can use a store coupon and a manufacturers. I got a toothbrush at rite aide. It was 120 on sale for 99 had a $10 off coupon there was a 30 rebate then a 35 gas card in the rite aide rebates then also in the paper with the 10 coupon there was a 10 rebate and then when we opened the box there was a 10 gift card for calling and participating in a survey about the toothbrush. I am hoping I can use them all and get it for like $5

penny pincher: that is great, I love the rite-aid rebates, they are sooo easy! and they put them on good stuff people actually buy...

hotdog: you should be able to use them in that manner, sometimes you will get a clerk who is unfamiliar with how to handle this, ask to speak to a manager and be pleasant but firm. Also on Families.com deals forum if you hunt around they have a list of all the customer service people to call if you have problems, sometimes if the store doesn't do right, they fix it over the phone for you. Good luck
