Default Pay to Click/Read/Etc- Worth getting into?

I'm not sure whether this topic has been introduced but I am curious if these things are legitimate and if so, has anyone had good/bad experiences?

Thanks in advance,
Barb

lol...there is absolutely nothing wrong with your question - in fact, it's smart of you to ask - but I predict this post is going to keep me busy deleting SPAM.

95% of the ones out there are scams and won't pay your anything. The other 5% aren't worth the time you have to put in to even get a small amount of money. I would highly recommend staying away from them since they will never be more than something that pays you a few dollars at most for weeks and weeks of work.

Whew.... I thought I was going to get yelled at since this could be a potential firecracker type topic lol. I noticed that these sites pay 1/4 of a penny per click? Geez... at that rate, I should just stick to my can collecting... at least I know it pays right off the bat

Thanks,
Barb

I agree ... avoid them like the plague. Not only will you have to read but many of them also require you to click-through to get credit for reading or viewing the ad.

I've found better success with survey type sites. Again, be careful because there are plenty of scams out there so read the requirments etc first before joining up. You might also consider becoming a mystery shopper (if your lifestyle permits).

Just some thoughts.

Jeff/Nate I have a question for you are "Ads by Google" worth it ? I've been thinking about giving it a try but they don't tell you their payment calculation method so I've never really looked into it. However, seeing how every website has them now I figure they must pay fairly well...

They seem hardly worth the effort given the low return to time investment.
I think they should be avoided. That is my .02 cents.

I know a friend who tried one, since it was a free signup, and they really messed up his internet browser. His start page was changed, he was infected with spyware, and all sorts of pop ups. He avoids them now, but the damage was done unfortunately.
