Here is where I was in March
$2200 AT&T 5.9 until paid off
$2800 MBNA 6.9% until Nov
$6000 GM carecredit 0% until Dec. then retro active finance charges it not paid off. Dental bills. Hate them

1000 carpet loan Same as cash until Aug

Here is where I am now!
$2000 AT&T 5.9 until paid off
$1975 MBNA 6.9% until Nov
$0 on GM care credit
$690 new carpet loan same as cash until Aug (budgeted $230 a month to pay them off)

I paid off the GM last month (tax returns and money saved from saving money for being self-employed for taxes) and taking the $400 that I am paying and putting it towards the MBNA. That gives me $600 a month to put to MBNA and $100 toward AT&T.

I really feel like we are in the home stretch now.... most of the charges left are dental charges. Hubby has had a lot of dental work done-hope it is all set for now.

We don't use credit cards just debit cards.

Once I get it of paid off, I am taking 1/2 of the money paid towards debt and putting it towards our car fund and the other half in retirement savings.

Carpet loan is all paid off! Sent the final payment in before the car problems.

Because of the car problems, my EF is down a bit so I am bringing that back up by $2k. So I will be doing $100 a month to MBNA and AT&T until that is back up which should be about 5 months.

Congratulations on checking off the carpet loan! I'm impressed that you are already adding back into your emergency fund. Those bumps sure do come unexpectedly along the way, but you have ridden this one very well.

Thanks Terry! I am grateful that the money was in the bank and I didn't need to use credit. In the past I would have put it on the card, but now nothing goes on there.

This is great insiriation for me. I hae a lot of medical bills I amd in the process of paying off. I just have to remember one step at a time.

My husband just got a huge commission check! I was able to payoff the MBNA MC.

I still have $1600 due on AT&T.

My emergency fund is not up to the pre-car problem levels yet but I am debating on adding $1000 to that or just send it to AT&T. Right now it is sitting in the checking account.

Decisions decisions but good decisions to make.

Congratulations. Those are the good kind of decisions that you have to make. I would vote for paying off the Visa too.

I think I am going to take 1/2 of it and pay down the visa.

Our central air system needs a major repair-I am going to see what that costs as well.

But it funny a little money burns a whole in your pocket. Hubby wanted to buy a laptop again-we really have no need for it.

I also taking some of the money and putting it towards Christmas shopping as well.

What you have done is so awesome Theresa! I pay all the bills in our family and when I try to show hubby my budget, he just waves it aside and says, As long is it works, you don't have to show it to me! But when we run short, then I feel like it's all my fault

I wish he'd take part in our budgeting more so that he could realize how much I have to juggle just to get things paid. Maybe then he wouldn't spend so much

I paid $1000 towards AT&T

Down to $700 in credit card debt!! We still need to get our central ac/furance fixed and that is about $1000 or I would have paid everything off.
