Default Financial Investments

Does anyone have any suggestions about the best way to learn more about financial investing (stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, etc.)? I am not looking for a get rich quick scheme, because I truly don't believe they exist, but a way to increase my knowledge about investing so that I can more disciplined and knowledgeable choices with my 401K, IRA's etc. Also, has anyone had any experiences with "The Motley Fool" products? If so, what was your experience?

I haven't bought and tried the Motley Fool products, but their website is a great resource for basic financial planning. You'll pick up a lot of basic info just by surfing. They also have an NPR radio show.

I also like
bankrate.com
stingy investor (has a canadian slant)
prudent bear
michelle singletary - washington post - the color of money
detnews.com money & life section - lots of financial columnists lumped together in a nice spot
directinvesting.com - about dividend reinvestment programs

I really like the www.fool.com as a good basic info. Having a basic understanding of all of these terms puts you one step ahead of the gang.
