Default Incorrect Amended Tax Returns

My NEW tax accountant incorrectly amended my tax returns for 2005 and 2006. This I found out from my CFO.
What is recommended steps to be taken? I don't want to open "can of worms" though and cause more problems than it is.

Thanks

I would think another amendment would be the way to handle it.

Would there be a posibility of Audit if I do amend?
Is my tax accountat liable for this?

What IF I don't take action?
