my "flat rate" (if using 300 minutes or less!) was $35....so, it HAS been a challenge to not just call someone on the cellphone and have long conversations!!

Great job! How many minutes did you use the last month just out of curiosity? Have you had to curtail your calling quite a bit?

I was using 300 minutes +, this month I used 78 minutes....basically, I was ABusing my cell phone before (yes, there were times when I would use my cell to call someone just because we didn't have an extension from our 'fixed" line upstairs, so, instead of going downstairs, I would just reach for the cellphone!!)...Part of it was knowing that I had to pay for that time, anyway!

Good for you! Sometimes it's the small things (or the things we tend to not think of as costing money) that can add up to the largest expenses or savings.

For example, I had the habit of stopping for a donut, paper, and juice each morning on my way into work. Cost = $3.11/day x 5 days = $15.55 x 50 weeks = $777.50

I didn't think about the money, just the convenience.

Now, I wake up 20 mins earlier, have toast, cereal, juice or milk or tea (not a coffee drinker) and I'm saving money and losing weight!
