Default When you travel, when should you exchange money?

When you travel overseas, when is the best time to exchange money? Do you get a better rate going to your local bank or at the airport or when you arrive in your destination country? Where and when is the best time to exchange the money to get the best rates?

Either your local bank or a bank or 'exchange' store overseas...never at the airport!!

If you travel to a country where you can use your credit card, you'll get a better exchange rate doing that than by exchanging actual cash. You'll still need cash, but maybe you won't have to exchange as much.
