$120/month for HD-DVR, 2nd DVR, FIOS internet, and phone service. But the basic package is $99/month for Internet, cable and phone.

So cable is $33 + 20 = $53/month.

I wish they would give ME this price!!!! I have their most basic package too (only 10 or so channels) and they make me pay $22.

DH and I are going to try a roof top antenna and see what happens.

I pay nothing. I cut the cable in June of 08 and have no regrets. I'm able to watch NBC via the convertor box, and ABC online. Otherwise, there are no other shows I want to watch.

I had started with the $10 plan, then in just a bit over 2 years they raised the price to $23.xx. Supposedly they have the $10 plan again with a price lock of two-years. Eh - don't need it.

DS, I prefer cable over the stupid gadgets that are with cell phones! It's $20 month unlimited texting and $30 month data plan? That on top of minutes?

And people typically have internet at home and work and the cell phone is just for when you are out?

I get where they are coming from, but boy I cry looking at the cell phone bills.

ZERO!
Cable TV is not available where we live and we never felt like getting satellite. We haven't had pay-TV for 10 years.

On the flip side though, our internet connection has to come from our phone provider which means that we have to keep our land line when we'd prefer to just have our cell phones only.

comcast frustrates the hell out of me....... i was on the 99 deal (tv,net and phone) they put it up to 150 i called a yr ago they said they would lock me in for 2 yrs at 110 so i said ok. i was supposed to be locked in then 3 mnths ago it went up to 140 i got it back to 100 by calling and bitching. they told me it was going to adjust again this month..... so this months bill just came in and now its 165. Im furious with these people and im about to drop the hammer on them again. I have the landline as its the only affordable way i can keep in contact with my family (who live in england) but im about ready to cut the internet and tv and call it a day. Im tired of calling these people every few months i know theyll drop the price its just annoying to keep doing it. It makes me feel like a 2nd class citizen but hey im saving money and thats all good for me. more money for the roth, more money to pay down my house and more money to pay off student loans hahaha.

Dish network. Was $55 a month, but now it bills on our phone bill for a $5 discount each month, so now $50 a month.

Havent had it in like three years and still alive and ticking. I just cant spend that much on tv when you can get it for free with rabbit ears. I do miss some of the channels. But I do rent movies with coupons and specials and get them for free from the library.

We used to pay 110 for cable and internet from comcast. We cancelled the cable and got the basic antenna service for 13 dollars so now we pay 60 for tv and internet. We still get discovery but no more cnbc but its not like we need it but its nice to have.

about 50$ a month for a decent cable package with HD.

I have it bundled with phone and internet, the whole comes out to about 100$ per month.

I pay $50 for DirecTV programming and $38 for Comcast Internet. Internet is actually $19.99 per month but I have to take their basic cable of $14 to get this promotional rate. Otherwise, only internet will cost $44.

I am looking to shop around for some internet deals and get rid of comcast altogether.

My last bill showed $145, before $87 worth of credits, bringing it down to only $60 for the highest package on DirectV,... but the only reason I'm getting it this cheap is because they tried screwing me over & I complained to the BBB

Default govern tv

I have been considering switching from cable tv to another service like satellite. I know there at a lot of options out there and wanted some advice on what I should look for or purchase. It's sad, but I am spending about $200 a month on my tv service and I am getting less than 70 channels. I would love more channels, hd television, and a tivo/tv recording box. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.
