Question Online calculator for estimating state tax refund?

I worked a full time job and a part time job in 2008. I was able to have enough federal withheld, and received a federal refund of around $1,080 (most went to fixing car and savings!).

I don't have my w-2s with me, but I have my tax return, and I was wondering if there is a free calculator I can use to determine if I will receive a refund from my california taxes, or if I will owe.

thank you for anyone who has a link

Try this. Let us know if it works for you.

It should work for other states, too!!

I don't have my w-2s with me, so I can't use the site. I did try to do this before with w-2s, and it gave me a really high number that didn't seem right.

Would it be possible that I get a federal refund and still owe california taxes?

It is possible, but I'd definitely try another site than the first one you tried. It's possible you did not have enough withheld from one or both employers, therefore you could owe.

Good luck!
