Default Filed taxes today, the bottom line on interest for the year...

Through careful financial practices I managed to earn $1,859.61 in interest within 2008. Many of the practices have been talked about here on this site as well as my blog. Discipline is a key factor in these processes but with the right frame of mind, a little time and patience it can be done.

For the record, I had:

$1,000 in my emergency fund

$10,000 in my Savings Deposit Program (10% APR)

$30,000 charged on interest free cc and saved in misc on line bank accounts.

$7000 in EE Bonds cashed in.

Opened a few bank accounts earning 125 on one, 75 on the other.

One or two ING Direct sign up bonuses.

That's it, now let's see what I can do for 2009.
Good luck and thanks for reading,
Ray
