Are there any advantages to buying tax software rather than using the free file system through the IRS? Are the tax programs the same, or are the free file programs not as good as the tax programs you buy?

My personal opinon is that the free file and the paid software are of the same caliber. I've used both (Turbo Tax) and found them to be almost exactly the same (the only difference was in price!)

We went through the link at irs.gov and filed through h&r block - same place I always file through - I just saved 24.99 this year!!
It's the same software that I used last year and it even imported the info for me from last year. It was super easy!! |
