Default Internet connection speed and prices

How much do you pay for your Internet service provider and what type of connection do you have? I'm really thinking about upgrading to a high speed line even though it will cost more. I spend enough time on the Internet that I think it will free up enough of my time to be worth the extra money. has anyone made the switch from dial up to high speed and is it worth the extra cost?

I have high speed it is 47.11$ a month. I think dial up is almost a waste of time, 2 or more minutes just for this page to load on dial up (depending on time of day and such). I would drop the net completly before I go with dial up.

I have had cable modem for 6 years and would never go back to dial-up. I pay $45 a month through Comcast.

It all depends on your area and who your providers are. Some of them offer specials etc.

If you are on the internet alot, it is a nice have. Dial-up is fairly cheap these days. Netzero, Juno are all $10. You shouldn't be paying more than $10 for dial-up these days.

I would go crazy if I were still on dial up. If you spend more than a couple of hours a day on the Internet, it is worth getting a high speed connections. But if you do, you'll never be able to go back to dial-up without making yourself crazy.
